I'm looking at all this Fannie and Freddie and banking mess and wonder if my two annuities are safe? I am retired and will grow more dependent on these. Both of the variable annuities from very large companies but I had no choose since my employer contributed to and I received one as a beneficiary. I know banks have 100k insurance and brokerages and insurance companies don't. Hence my concern, are these annuities hinged on whether my holders go under or are they deversified in the market? Thanks.

Any chance that Chris is the Chris Farrell who once lived on Aberdeen Ct in Fairfax, Virginia. If so, drop me a line.
